National Public Procurement Conclave (NPPC) for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is being held in the national capital from October 30 to October 31, 2018 to bring together buyers and sellers on a single platform.
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with Government e-Marketplace (GeM) is organizing this conclave to offer opportunities to MSMEs to interact with industry stalwart from the public procurement sector.
Government e-marketplace (GeM) is a state-of-the-art public procurement platform that introduces transparency, efficiency & speed in public procurement. It ensures cashless, paperless and contactless transactions which are in line with the objectives of the Digital India initiative.
It offers a rich listing of various products & services and acts as a one stop shop for marketing with minimal efforts.
GeM has around 4.25 lakh products available for online purchase and has crossed 6.8 lakh transactions worth Rs.11,000 crores. Currently, there are about 26,000 government organizations (Central, State Governments and PSUs) and 1,30,000 sellers & service providers registered on GeM.
As per Rule 149 of the GFR-2017, procurement of Goods and Services by Ministries/ Departments of Central Government has been made mandatory for Goods or Services available on GeM.
In this regard, the conclave will host National Seminar on Government e-Market Place, Technical Sessions on GeM & Public Procurement and exhibition of products and services.
This is the first of its kind Buyer Seller meet in India, which will provide a B2B and knowledge sharing platform with an opportunity to interact with more than 800 buyers/sellers across sectors along with more than 400+ Public Procurement Managers from different Governments Departments and PSUs across different states.
